What is BUS 383?

BUS 383 was the bus that my brother and I rode to school in when we were kids. It was the coolest bus, with an awesome bunch of friends on it. It represented freedom in a way, but also safety in that my brother was always there with me every day. It always stuck with me…that number…that feeling. So this website, although having nothing to actual do with buses, or schools…has a lot to do with freedom and the safety of friends. I’ve had friends and family over the years repeatedly ask when I was going to sell my artwork as prints. To be honest…I’m not sure what took me so long, but it’s here now.  

For those that don’t already know me…my name is Brent Whittington, and I’m an animator and an illustrator. I’ve been working professionally as an animator for nearly 25 years, and have spent the last 21 years making video games. I started out making them for the old Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo systems, and now I make them for the current gen consoles. Along the way I transitioned from being solely a 2D animator to being a 3D animator, character designer and illustrator. I now work at Insomniac Games where as a Senior Animator I have worked on numerous Ratchet and Clank titles for the Sony Playstation and also Sunset Overdrive for the Xbox One.
